Damon Saves!

With all the talk about how Johnny Damon looks like Jesus in The Passion of the Christ - I got to thinking about the name Jesus [Hey-zeus]. The name seemed to be pretty popular among Latin players when I was growing up but did you know that there are only two players this year in MLB with the first name Jesus? There is one Jesus in each league - Jesus Colome with Cincinnati in the NL and Jesus Sanchez with the Devil Rays in the AL. Interestingly enough - both are relief pitchers which means at some point this summer you will probably see the headline "Jesus Saves!"
