My Idiot Congressman

On Tuesday the House voted on HR 3966 - a bill that basically said that if a college or university took government funds then they have to grant equal access to ROTC just as they would for any other employer. The vote passed 343 to 81 and of course my Congressman - Jim McGovern was among those voting "Nay".

I swear this guy is such a rubber stamp - you can almost picture McGovern calling Ted Kennedy before every vote to ask what he should do. So let me get this straight - if NAMBLA or the US Communist Party wanted to recruit say for a membership director - that's OK? But if the ROTC wants to offer students a career and a way to pay for college - that's somehow wrong?
