Passing the Torch

Did you see the "passing the torch" moment when Willie Mays passed a "torch" (which actually looked more like a small bundle of roses) to Barry Bonds after Bonds hit 660th HR?

The move was phony, contrived, silly, stupid, awkward - take your pick. This sort of PR move was so bad - I have to think the Bud Selig was involved in it somehow.
