Some thoughts while I have my morning coffee...

Red Sox lost to the Blue Jays last night and it was ugly. Since I don't read about them the day after a loss - should be a quick entry this morning... I couldn't believe that shot by Derek Fisher of the Lakers... Of all the phrases that have entered the "common speech" the past few years like "perfect storm" and "jump the shark" - my favorite is Nick Bakay's "stoink!".... Good piece by Jason Whitlock on Kobe Bryant... Many people expect Derek Lowe to lose tonight's start for the Red Sox because he does badly on the road, does worse when it's on artificial turf and is at his absolute worst when he's playing at SkyDome. (Vegas still has Lowe as the favorite but that's probably more a function of more money following the Red Sox than anything else.) With so many people expecting Lowe to do poorly - look for him to pitch 7 innings and only give up one or two runs... The Reds Sox are 6-1 against the Yankees and only 14-14 against everyone else... Black Jack card counting for Dummies...
