Twins vs. Indians

This battle may turn out to be the most interesting division race. As it stands now - the Indians are two games back of the Twins with 45 left to play for Minnesota and 43 left to play for Cleveland.

These two teams have ten more games of head-to-head action remaining (including the last three games of the season at Minnesota). Of the Twins remaining games - 71% are against teams with above .500 records. Of Cleveland's remaining 43 games - 65% are against above .500 teams. The Indians thus have a slight edge in terms of strength of schedule but what is clear is that both teams will probably be bloodied in the remaining weeks of the season and whoever comes in second will probably not be in the hunt for the Wild Card.
