Blast from the Past

One of the most astounding seasons of pitching professional baseball ever was submitted by Al Spalding in 1875. Spalding won 55 and lost only 5 with 52 complete games and a 1.52 ERA. Spalding also did pretty well in founding a sporting goods empire.

I don't think we'll see a record like that again.
