McNabb = Drew Bledsoe?

Donovan McNabb was sacked 12 times last night. Twelve times! Meanwhile Jeff Garcia was not sacked a single time for Tampa Bay yesterday.

A few years ago Bill Belichick faced Drew Bledsoe when Bledsoe was no longer playing for the Patriots and instead was the QB for the Bills. Belichick blitzed the hell out of Bledsoe and made him take lots of sacks and make lots of mistakes. It became a blueprint defense for the rest of the league against Bledsoe who went from being a marquee name in the game to being retired in short duration.

Last night the Giants gave the rest of the league the blueprint for beating the Eagles when they lineup Donovan McNabb behind center. If opposing teams can get just half of the sacks that the Giants got last night - then the Donovan McNabb era in Philadelphia will soon be at an end. The Eagles next three opponents - the Jets, Bears and Vikings all have very good front sevens and it looks like there is a recipe for disaster brewing in Philadelphia. The Eagles don't have very good receivers, McNabb isn't as mobile as he used to be and last night the Eagles offensive line was completely exposed.

Fans will be shouting for AJ Feeley or rookie Kevin Kolb maybe by halftime of the next home game against the Bears.
