PATRIOT Act, unnecessary war [Iraq] that destabilized the Middle East, Guantanamo, financial crisis of 2007-8, war on science .... I doubt history will be that kind to him.
Guantanamo - you mean that facility in Cuba that existed before Bush took office and still exists because Obama found it was really necessary? The financial crisis of 2008? Oh you mean the one caused because Democrats like barney Frank signed laws that allowed unscrupulous lenders to hand out mortgages to people who couldn't afford them like pedophiles with PEX dispensers? Destabilize the Middle East? Are you saying the Middle East was stable before Bush? Oh and the Iraq War was a victory when Bush was leaving office and it has turned to ashed under Obama and Clinton.I'll give you the Patriot Act. That should be repealed.
I think you meant PEZ dispensers. (See how I went after the least relevant thing in your reply?) As for the financial crisis, there is plenty of blame to go around on both sides. It did happen under Bush's watch, when Republicans controlled Congress, however. I maintain that the Middle East was more stable before the unnecessary war in Iraq than it is now and that the true destabilizer in the whole region was the result of that war. That doesn't mean that I am a supporter of Obama/Clinton, who share no small portion of the current state of affairs. I have never cast a vote for a major party candidate and don't intend to start in November.
I actually did mean PEX dispensers. I grew up poor and could only afford the knock-offs. :)So we both Feel the Johnson?
How did you know? :) PS Want to trade growing up poor stories?
I have one I've been thinking about these past few days. The father of two of my closest friends worked as a truck driver for a fruit distribution company. He took his box truck home and used it as a personal vehicle. When he drove us to baseball practice we would ride in the back, in the dark. When he'd have a sudden stop or hit a good size pothole - we'd go flying! We thought it was awesome.Looking back - that was very dangerous but not only did my friend's dad not give it a second thought - neither did my parents. And like I said - we thought it was awesome. You could never get away with that today.
That sounds like fun. Your story reminds me of how my brother and I used to stand behind the front seats instead of sitting while my dad would drive. No seat belts.
