The Boston Celtics win streak ended the other night in Miami at 16 games. I thought it worth noting how historic the streak actually was. This is the fourth time the Celtics have had a winning streak of 16 or more games. FOURTH time. There are 14 NBA franchises who have never had a winning streak that long. And Boston has done it FOUR times.
One of the reasons Boston has become such a popular NBA team this season is the fact that during that 16 game win streak they were 14-1-1 against the spread. Obviously the Celtics did not cover Wednesday against the Heat.
A new streak can start tonight as Boston takes on Orlando at the Boston Garden. Go Celtics (and please cover the 8.5 points).
