Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- The TV industry will never recover from the coronavirus. Not sure if it's correct to imply the implosion of the TV industry is related to the Wuhan virus. The same dynamics that decimated the newspaper and magazine industries just took a while longer to get to TV.

- Professor says coronavirus not as deadly as thought. "I am concerned people have become overly frightened and throughout this pandemic, the fear instilled in people has been a real problem."

- Heh Heh

- Fibonacci is truly one of the most unheralded heroes of Western Civilization

- Suicides rise sharply in US between 200-2018 especially in rural areas. And this doesn't even take into account the even bigger spike due to the lockdown. I bet more high school age kids and college kids will have died from suicide these past six months than all the deaths from Covid-19 in those age groups.

  1. As of two weeks ago, the total number of people under the age of 21 who died with COVID was precisely... 28.

And every single one of them had comorbidities.

  2. I keep thinking of the example of the high school kid working as a cashier at a grocery store for months during this seeing his teachers from school come in to shop but then reading in the paper the teachers complaining "no school because we don't feel safe doing OUR job."

    Yeah right!
