College Football Thoughts

Some college football offseason thoughts and observations the day after the President's EO as we await the Final Four tipoff.

Was having these thoughts anyway and figured may as well jot them down and post on Substack. Of course unless the courts strike down any of the thoughts contained herein.

Saturday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

Yesterday Pope Leo XIV became the first Pope since 1994 to personally carry the cross for all 14 stations of the cross on Good Friday. Admit that I'm having flashbacks growing up Catholic and of having to just go through each station at catechism. This trauma may explain why I've never felt the desire to watch The Passion of the Christ.

Stuff I found interesting o amusing and thought I'd share.

- Jonathan Turley on the firing of Pam Bondi.

- Jack London on books.

- The economic costs of the Iran war. But if the price for oil later plummets - does that mean by these methods the war is actually generating revue for the average US household?

- Glenn Reynolds on the return to the moon.

Good Friday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

Before Pete Hesgeth said hold my beer and started firing Army generals - President Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi. Rumors are that Bondi was fired over leaks to Representative Eric Swalwell or perhaps the lack of charges against Jeffrey Epstein clients. Either way the Sunday news shows may be a little preoccupied this weekend with the holiday. So good timing I guess?

Thursday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

President Trump gave a speech last night on TV saying the war in Iran is almost over. Trump estimated another 3 more weeks. I was amused seeing this estimate thinking the left and the media have 3-more years of this. What will they be complaining about in 3-years - that the US hasn't gotten to Mars yet and Trump promised Mars?

- Russell Roberts on Patience. An update on the Iran war from a perspective inside Israel.

- You don't think there's a plan? Really? Amen!

- Jonathan Turley: The chilling jurisprudent of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. A year old but could have been written today.

- What astronauts eat on a  trip to the moon. Why quiche but not steak, bacon, or eggs?

Wednesday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

KitKat says that the missing KitKats is not a PR stunt and they really want to find the missing shipment but doesn't feel like a PR stunt at this point? Other brands like Outback Steakhouse are openly joking about it and suddenly people are thinking and talking about KitKats. All just in time for Easter a time when chocolate goods like KitKat are traditionally consumed. Just saying.
