Morgan Housel with an interesting look at the US economy since the end of World War II.
He is right to mention the quote that history is just one damn thing after another but when it comes to predicting the future, especially economics, I think quoting William Goldman is equally apt; "Nobody knows anything." That is in no way a knock on Housel's essay - he does a fine job on the outline of events - just a reminder.
