Tim Wakefield, aged just 57, has passed from brain cancer. I have an appreciation of the man up on Substack.
He was on the mound the one game I was at Fenway, back in 2004.
Hope they won.Saw three games in Toronto and they were all randomly against Seattle. Thought that was strange but welcomed the opportunity to see Ichiro.Wakefield was one of a kind.
They won. Bill Mueller (the ex-Cub) hit a grand slam.
Mueller was one of my favorite players. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't he work for the Cubs front office now?
