The Buffett Formula: Going to Bed Smarter than When You Woke Up.
Read every day. As much as you can. I love this formula.
Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- 4th of July fight fiasco: how a Jack Dempsey title fight KO'd a small Montana town's finances. Cool bit of history mostly forgotten.
- Whatever happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence.
- Daniele Bolelli on Good Food. Agree 100% - eat real food!

Truly random thought but found myself wondering about drummers who were also the lead singer in their bands. You have Phil Collins for Genesis and Don Henley for The Eagles but I must be missing some others who should be just as obvious. And maybe even more names of others who aren't as obvious.

"If you want to learn to think for yourself, you can't just follow what someone else came up with." True in cooking - true in life.

The 4th of July week has always been big for summer blockbuster movies since Jaws came on the scene. Since then we've has Airplane!, Back to the Future, Independence Day and many others. Not so much this year though.

- VDH on the Lies We Lived Though. Love the question if KJP would volunteer to be a passenger in a car driven by Joe Biden.
- Kemba Walkers calls it a career. Just 4-years ago the Celtics were hoping Kemba would be their salvation. His body broke down quick. May the road rise to meet him in his retirement.
- Fredrick Douglas' 1852 4th of July speech
- Joey Chestnut doubles down against Nathan's. Could care less about professional eaters but I do enjoy a good pissing match.

All anyone seems to be still talking about is how bad Joe Biden looked during Thursday's Presidential debate and sides seem to be getting drawn up inside the Democratic Party itself on whether he should step down. This cannot be what the DNC was hoping for this close to their big convention in August.

Boston Celtics paying what it takes to keep the championship team in tact, They just, as everyone expected, gave Jason Tatum a $315 million supermax contract that makes him the highest paid player in the NBA (for now) and a 4-year $125.9 million contract to Derrick White. Their top 9 players from last season's roster are under contract plus their top 2 draft picks. Wick Groesbeck and the other top team owners took this opportunity to sell the team. Not my money but can't help but think I picked the wrong field. Please Subscribe, hit the Like button, or share the Link. Thanks!

Should have noted that yesterday was the anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Gettysburg on June 30, 1863. It is perhaps the most significant battle in US history. It's sad that more attention isn't paid to it. As always please Subscribe, hit the Like button, or share the Link. Muchos gracias!
