Have no interest in watching the Oscars tonight but I am curious if stories of Zelensky trying to appear and being turned down surface. Also curious if they make any comments about the meeting at the White House during the telecast.

I seem to remember Ross Perot tried to buy Microsoft as well. The numbers seem laughable now, but I think another 5 million would have sealed the deal. He did give us Bill Clinton as a result of his splitting the presidential vote, so he did make a difference historically.
ReplyDeleteSame sort of deal here. It blew up because Bernie Marcus has a leased Cadillac and it would have been cheaper to buy the used Cadillac for Marcus instead of buying a new Ford. Perot was adamant "Our people don't drive Cadillacs." And the deal fell apart. Markus and Arthur Blank view it now as a close shave.
