The assassination of Charlie Kirk has really shook and changed the nation. President Trump ordered all flag posts to fly the American flag at half mast in remembrance of Charlie and sports teams like the Yankees are holding moments of silence before games in his honor. The country truly will never be the same. We are all poorer for the loss of the voice of Charlie Kirk.

Woke up to the sad news that Charlie Kirk was murdered in Utah. How could this happen - especially so close to the anniversary of 9/11 when Americans vowed to never forget? The corporate media is guilty in pushing the narrative that anyone who disagrees with their narrative is evil and should be punished. Charlie Kirk was the opposite of evil and he was murdered.

Just started reading Mark Twain's satirical travelogue of this "picnic" cruise to Europe, Egypt, and the Holy Land. Shamed to admit that I'm not very well versed in Twain's work and thought this book might help remedy that and make fine beach reading.

Elon Musk announced that he's releasing the X algorithm to open source both so people can understand how the algorithm works but to also help find any flaws or maybe suggest improvements. This is also in a manner, why I suggest that any scientific paper published that was partially or wholly funded with a federal grant should be free to the public - to help validate, find any flaws, or possible suggested improvements. That would be the best way to get science done in this country.

Watched the Vikings come back to beat the Bears last night but I admit that I quit on the Baltimore-Buffalo game Sunday night around 11:30 with the Ravens leading 40-25. I figured the game was over and went to bed. Only learned about Josh Allen's heroic 4th quarter and the last second kick to give the Bills a 41-40 victory yesterday morning. My bad - I missed an all-time ending.
