Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Jonathan Turley: Gerrymandering makes hypocrisy a political punchline.

- Love these weekly updates from Dan Bongino what the FBI accomplished this week.

- Put me in the camp that 100% believes that dropping the A-bombs in WW II was the right move. Ask any vet serving in the Pacific at the time if they agree.

- Things are not looking good for Letitia James. And if anyone should know fraud it's Crazy Eddie.

In his excellent book Quartered Safe Out Here author George McDonald Fraser lays out his argument that the atomic bombs saved lives by ending the savage war in Burma where the British and Japanese were fighting tooth and nail.

  2. I knew him from both his Flashman series and his criminally underrated Three Musketeers screenplay but this sounds like like serious fiction. Will have to check it out. Thanks!

It's not fiction, it's a record of his service as a 19 year old private in the Burmese campaign.

  4. That's what assumed and Burma was hell. Many writers were able to turn the trauma they faced in WW II into humor as a way to not only keep their sanity but hone it. People like Vonnegut and Heller. I've put the book on my reading list.
