Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

And poof - just like that - the problems of people trying to survive in West Baltimore disappeared from all media consciousness... This is so awesome!... Thinking of adopting the Latin phrase "Pax et bonum" as my all-purpose greeting. It translates to English as "Peace and all good." Thinking it can be used the same way Hawaiians use "Aloha"... "Many people die at 25 and aren't buried until they are 75." - Ben Franklin... Strange but the older I get the shorter Michael J. Fox becomes in my memory... Very cool - Samurai slices a 100 MPH fastball in half...  Delaware announces plans to charge a $20 toll on all through hikers of the Appalachian Trail. State officials later disappointed to learn they can't do this because unlike US Interstate 95 - the Appalachian Trail does not actually pass though Delaware...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Everyone mentions Bill Clinton as the most likely "candidate" to get caught up in the Jeffrey Epstein underage sex scandal but I wouldn't bet against NJ Democratic Senator Bob Menendez' name coming to light either. He's in proximity to the case (NJ just over the line from NYC) and has been linked to underage prostitutes in the past. Just saying...  Never date within the division!... "Nature never deceives us; it is we who deceive ourselves." - Jean-Jacques Rousseau... Portland Maine still has an Alternative Rock station (94.3 WCYY) while Boston no longer has one. Advantage Portland... I agree with Jon Gabriel "'Ron Swanson's Neighborhood' would be a great kids show"... "O'yay, O'yay, O'yay - please rise" what the bailiff says at the start of official court proceedings and what men my age silently pray every time before sex... America lost one of its great mostly unsung heroes with the passing of NASA Mission Control pioneer Chris Kraft. He was 95 when he passed on Monday. One has to wonder if he willed himself to hang on until the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing - a mission he was an integral part of. Godspeed Mr. Kraft...
