A good introduction to Marcus Aurelius. Worthwhile even if you're familiar with the man and his teachings or not.
Any good leader would benefit from practicing the 3 Stoic exercises listed.
What is tragic about Marcus, as one scholar wrote, is how his "philosophy - which is about self-restraint, and respect for others - was so abandoned by the imperial line he anointed on his death."
Luckily for history Russell Crowe was around to kill Commodus in the end. (Just kidding but sometimes I do hear Richard Harris' voice when reading a Marcus Aurelius quote.)
