God Help Me

God help me but I still think the Red Sox have a chance to make the playoffs.

The Red Sox are 6 games behind New York but they have 6 games remaining with the Yankees. It would be unreasonable to expect the Red Sox to sweep those games but if they went 4-2 then they pick up 2 games. The Yankees also have 4 games remaining with the Rays. If Tampa Bay was able to go 3-1 in that series then that's another 2 games worth of ground made up.

That puts the race into the margin for error and it looks like the Yankees are feeling the pressure. Beside CC Sabathia there doesn't seem to be a reliable starter on the Yankees' staff. The Yankees could unravel. Epic fail could be in the making.

At least that's what I'm pinning my hopes on.
