Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- How the National Review sold its soul to Google. Next to Bill Kristol nobody lost more prestige and is more of a pariah to both sides than Jonah Goldberg. Devil's advocate says that it's not just National Review that imploded but all magazines the past few years though.

- Matt Ridley: The radical potential of nuclear fusion. "We are probably less than 15 years away from seeing a fusion power station begin to contribute to the grid."

- Locast has suspended operations.

- Shame! (As if Nancy Pelosi had any idea of the concept.)

  1. We have been 15 years from fusion power and true AI for the last 50 years.

  2. The article jokes about that. In 1950 we were 50 years from fusion power. In 20000 we were 50 years from fusion power. I'm perfectly happy if we have widespread adoption of 4th generation fission power.
