There a number of books I re-read on a regular basis. Some of these books I read almost yearly but all of them I've re-read at least 5-times.
- Kim by Rudyard Kipling
- The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara
- Cannery Row by John Steinbeck
- Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
- The Razor's Edge by W. Somerset Maugham
- A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway
- A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Re-reading this book has become a Christmas Eve tradition.
When I was in high school I used to read Trinity by Leon Uris every year. I think it was my way of trying to connect with my Irish roots. However, I haven't picked up that book in 20-years - so I won't count it. I guess you could also count the Harry Potter books but I've stopped having an obsession with them.
No Irish roots here, but Trinity was extremely impactful. Traveled through Ireland three times because of it. S
ReplyDeleteBoth my parents were born in Ireland and when I went back it was always to see relatives. Never even been to Dublin :(
