Currently reading David Milch's Life's Work: A Memoir. Long been a fan of Milch's work - he was co-creator of NYPD Blue, creator of Deadwood, and also the greatly underrated John from Cincinnati.  About half-way through and thoroughly engrossed in the book.

One thing does pang the conscious though is the fact that with Milch now suffering from dementia I wonder if one of the motivations behind the book was one last payday for his children. Milch famously lost his fortune due to his gambling addiction. Wonder if that's covered in the book later on?
