Government Gangsters

Recently read Government Gangsters by Kash Patel (who Donald Trump has nominated to be the next head of the FBI). The book could also have been called "how some people in power use the government to harm real people, taxpayers, and risk military lives to accrue and keep power." 

I'm reminded of a long time ago the Bernard Goldberg book Bias came out and detailed left-wingers putting their thumbs of the reporting of the news to show one side in the best light. Of course the media said no bias existed yet today it is commonly acknowledged. Likewise Kash Patel asserts that the Deep State not only exists but is trying its best to accrue and keep power. Now more and more are waking up to the reality that he too is correct.

"Now, vast swaths of our country recognize the Deep State is nothing than a cabal of government gangsters and their allies, who politicize the power of their federal bureaucracy, the media and more illegally persecute their enemies, inflate their egos, enrich themselves, and entrench their powers."

Be sure to read the Appendix to the book too. It incudes what he'd recommend the government do to fight the Deep State (including moving the FBI's HQ out of DC - a move I've recommended for years). There's also a list of current and former people in the Executive Branch whose actions have shown them to be part of the Deep State.

Warning: I could only read this book one chapter at a time because the abuse of government power and taxpayer money was so widespread it made me too angry to read more than that. Also keep in mind that most of the book is based on actual government documents and actual statements - all of which had to pass muster by lawyers who wanted to make sure there was no libelous or untrue statements in the book.
