Let's see, I just filed my taxes -- via Turbo Tax. I am employed, had income in two states (modest income in state 2) and a 403b as well as some stock dividend related income. Not a lot of different sources, and nothing remarkable. My Federal form was 75 pages long. Yes, I had to pay, no refund for years now, but it is done. But 75 pages? Yikes, I am glad TurboTax does the filing.
I use H&R Block, but doing it with software is STILL a crapshoot in the end. I fill out the fields and squares and pray. Well, I used to pray, but these days I just hit SEND and move on. My copies, printed 2-sided, take 2 large envelopes, and I have no really complicated issues. What a governmental mess.
