Bradley to the Dodgers

Cleveland today traded Milton Bradley to the Los Angeles Dodgers for 21-year old Single A outfielder Franklin Gutierrez. Bradley will most likely take over in centerfield for light hitting Dave Roberts.

It seems like Dodgers GM Paul DePodesta got a real talented player on the cheap. Bradley should greatly help the anemic LA offense, only makes $1.73 million this year and is still a couple years away from free agency. If Bradley's behavioral problems rear their ugly hear - then the Dodgers can cut him loose - all it would cost them is a Single A prospect and $1.73 million.

Something tells me that DePodesta isn't done with his dealing though. The Dodgers could still use a big bat in the outfield or at first base.

Edit: Maybe the price wasn't as cheap as I thought - Franklin Gutierrez was ranked 41st among the Top 50 prospects in baseball (right above Kevin Youkilis) and was the third best prospect in the Dodger farm system according to the folks at The Hardball Times
