More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Learning from "Kill the Wabbit." Remember that when Curious George was learning the alphabet we saw "D" is for "dromedary" - wonder what today's generation would use for "D."

- Astronauts are going back to the moon for the first time in half a century. Interesting read on the Artemis II mission.

- Reid Hoffman, who bankrolled E. Jean Carroll lawsuit against Trump, is featured "player" in latest Jeffrey Epstein files release.

- All 10 NFL head coaching jobs are now filled - with grades for each!

On This Day in History

"On November 19, 1969 - Apollo program Apollo 12 astronauts Pete Conrad and Alan Bean land at Oceanus Procellarum (the "Ocean of Storms") and become the third and forth humans to walk on the Moon." - World of Engineering

Amazing how famous Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became in history yet how obscure the third and forth people to walk on the Moon became to the common person. Like how nobody remembers the second person to break the 4-minute mile. Or the second person to break the sound barrier.

Liny Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Good news - US manufacturing activity hits 14-month high. Let the recovery roar!

- Yikes!

- Report says Moon's metal-rich craters challenge popular theories about its origin. Don't really agree with this. If alien scientists had tested parts of Butte, Montana back in the day they might theorize the Earth's crust was largely made of copper.

- Today's history lesson comes from Borepatch. It makes sense especially when you realize no major Democrats have decried the destruction of statues of Lincoln, Grant, or Fredrick Douglas. The opposite would actually be a more accurate statement.

- Why anyone watches CNN is beyond me.

- Interesting look at the potential of nuclear "super balls." Love the phrase "micro uranium gobstoppers."
