Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- Rational Optimist on Everything's AI.
- One Battle After Another wins Best Picture plus other Oscar winners.
- Strait of Hormuz planning was built in from the start. Of course it was - I'd be more surprised if it wasn't.
- Pokémon Go had players capturing more than they realized. Amused at the tactic but could turn scary if it was revealed it was AI's plan to get humans to work for it.
Just read that to be considered for an Oscar these days a movie has to pass a DEI checklist. Because of this, most of the truly great winners from decades past would no longer even be in the running, no less have won. And offers another reason why so few go to movies anymore. For me, if I wish to watch crap I can delay my toilet flush, see a better quality product, and not have to pay admission.

I saw that too and it might explain why many haven't watched the Oscars in years or watched any of the movies nominated for awards.
