Today is the anniversary of the "red phone" which was installed in the White House and the Kremlin to enable better communication between the two nations in wake of the Cuban missile crisis. As I read this it occurred to me that it equally could be applied to AI which, if you think about it, represent an LLM of all the books ever written. However, if you don't understand how a subject truly works just gives you at best a surface knowledge which in Taleb's words would probably make you fragile.

The Conservatives seem intent on living up to the idea of just "conserving" the way things currently are. Meanwhile those on the Left seem determined to change anything they can touch usually to whatever the latest fad happens to be which today seems to be Socialism. It' all very disheartening.
