Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- History of China's recent naval moves in the South China seas. People tend to forget the role Nancy Pelosi's trip to Taiwan in 2022 may have played.

- Secure your home network: Part I - what is a firewall and why do you care? Part II - watertight compartments. I like the metaphors.

- Discriminatory Diversity Programs.

- Iran, Persia, and all that Jazz.

More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- The Expanse at 10. Going to have to give this series another shot (only watched the first couple of episodes).

- The Lost Generation. Reverse racism explained. (HT Cultural Offering)

- The American Military can't build a military anymore.

- From the archives: The common denominator of success. Long read but worth it.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Sweet Deals, Bitter Costs. Sugar protectionism is an issue I've long been well aware of. Central Mass has a number of candy manufacturers who might be able to stay in business or even increase the workforce if sugar prices came down because of international competition.

- FBI cleaning house.

- VDH: Why DEI was already dying. He's not wrong.

- From the archives: Richard Feynman and the pleasure of finding things out.

Linky Linky

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- VDH: Democrats and their DEI albatross.

- How big homebuilders and and private equity made American cities unaffordable (with a focus on Dallas-Fort Worth). Agree with the premise of how rule changes slanted the playing field towards Wall Street and big builders but think the factors of who is moving into these growing cities (blue staters used to paying inflated home prices with myriad regulation obstacles) and the shirking amount of available land in the cities (God isn't making any new land) should be taken into account.

- Nellie Orr, DOJ official's wife, may have perjured herself in Russia Hoax testimony to Congress. This story isn't going away and Nellie and Bruce Orr may be going to jail.

- Atlantic hurricane preseason 2025. All opinion and no data seems to be the climate change arguments in a nutshell.

Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Some good background reading on the Murthy v Missouri censorship case in front of the Supreme Court. I was expecting a verdict shortly but reportedly that's not due till June.

- Bari Weiss on ending DEI (HT Execupundit)

- Ireland's PM unexpectantly resigns. Surprising but his woke language was just badly rebuked by the entire nation (not mentioned in the article).

- Interesting. Texas removes $8.5 billion investment from Blackrock. Can the lawsuits be far behind?
