- Ireland's PM unexpectantly resigns. Surprising but his woke language was just badly rebuked by the entire nation (not mentioned in the article).

Quotes for Today

Some quotes I hope may resonate with you.

"Behind it all is surely an idea so simple, so beautiful, that when we grasp it - in a decade, a century, or a millennium - we will all say to each other, how could it have been otherwise?" - John Archibald Wheeler

"But speak up you must. There is strength in numbers and I assure you, the numbers are there." - Bari Weiss

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." - Abraham Lincoln

"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." - George Washington

Bari Weiss Twitter Files Reveal Systematic 'Blacklisting'

Reason does a nice job of laying out how Bari Weiss' Tweet Thread shows how Twitter employees shadow banned users.

You can read Bari Weiss's Twitter File thread here.

A few observations on the Twitter Files:

  • What was done in the darkness is being brought out into the light and what it's showing is not a cold sore - it's herpes
  • As both Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss primarily publish on Substack - that platform is perhaps the biggest winner here. Substack will shortly become the most trusted source of journalism in the country
  • Elon Musk, however, wisely stipulated that whatever information is found must first be published on Twitter which I'm sure is driving up engagement (and trust) on his platform
  • What's being exposed at Twitter (pre-Elon) is still happening on Facebook and YouTube. Keep that in mind when engaging on those platforms
  • There is so much that needs to be exposed and will be exposed that this will be a long running series of "Twitter Files"
  • Know many are anxious for the suppression of COVID related revelations to come out but I think Musk has rightly prioritized exposing how Twitter suppressed information and how the government was sometimes behind that suppression. That needs to be shown first and foremost before other issues are addressed.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Medical Schools Update Hippocratic Oath to Exclude Unvaccinated

- The little known heroic humanitarian deeds of heavyweight boxing champ Max Schmeling. (From the archives.)

- Morgan Housel: History's Seductive Beliefs

- NCAA's sky is falling NIL rhetoric looks all the more ridiculous now. "It's almost like the establishment made up the sky-will-fall panic." We seem to be getting a lot of such panic mongering from many different such "establishments."

- Bari Weiss: Everybody Hates the Jews. That antisemitism is on the rise in the country is undeniable. That antisemitism is repugnant, and ignorant in all it's forms is also undeniable.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Heroes come in all kinds.

- Bari Weiss (and Substack) have been a great success. Good for her - but not sure where that $800,000 per year figure comes from since 14,000 paying subscribers at $5 each is just $70,000. (Edit - math is hard that's $70,000 PER MONTH - now I go to the penalty box where I will feel the shame.)

- Most of the Kennedy family (and most of America) are against the parole of Sirhan Sirhan.

- The FBI's involvement in the plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan keeps getting more bizarre

- The straw that cures the hiccups.

- Do Cannabis users have lower BMI and less risk of obesity than non-users?

- Bari Weiss: When a Free Society becomes a Police State. The closing of Apple Daily in Hong Kong was the biggest news of last week. And it happened with very little coverage from the MSM.

- Pretty cool
