More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- How protectionism turns friends into rivals. For the record I support reciprocal tariffs. If a country has a zero tariff on our goods we should have reciprocal zero tariffs on theirs. Canada does not have reciprocal tariffs with us even though we are their largest trading partner.

- The complete insanity of the Democratic Socialist agenda.

- Quiet skies aren't free.

- Some mostly forgotten history - George Thomas the Rock of Chickamauga.

Starlink Direct to iPhone?

The Starlink Internet service needs some sort of receiver. Combined this news with the recent speculation of a SpaceX - Apple partnership makes you wonder if the next models of iPhones will have that receiver built in and allow for native Internet, voice, and texting via Starlink. Take you phone anywhere and still get a signal. That would be a big selling feature. (Photo via)

EDIT: Elon Musk says this report is fake news. Too bad - a guy can dream of a better iPhone though.

- Should the government nationalize SpaceX? I understand the argument but I'm a hard no. The markets for American made rockers didn't exist before SpaceX and low Earth orbit broadband from satellites didn't exist before Starlink.
