Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- SpaceX seeks to launch 1 million solar powered satellites to create AI datacenters in space.
- 200 Reasons Why I'm Here. Good advice. (HT Cultural Offering)
- The long poverty decline: Before and after the war on poverty. It was going better before the government got involved.
- Dan Wetzel: NFL should look into Giants co-owner Steve Tish. Tish's behavior was disturbing.

Flotsam and Jetsam
Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
The trumpet of the Delta variant being the most deadly will be sounded the loudest by the media outlets suffering the worst ratings and circulations declines (looking at you CNN and The Atlantic)... Poverty was reduced by 80% in just 20-years and it wasn't communism or socialism... It just may be that the best screenplays written by Francis Ford Coppola and Quentin Tarantino were for movies they did not direct. Coppola with Patton and Tarantino for True Romance... Still say someone should come out with an a fantasy football app where if an NFL player on your roster kneels during the National Anthem then your player is not eligible for any points that week. Think there's a demand for such an app... Very cool... In accordance with my last will and testament - I have two final requests...

- Oil is probably the reason we the US won't go to war with Iran. Missing from this CNBC report - the word "fracking".
- An interesting look into the shooting of David Ortiz by Sports Illustrated. The line, "When the authorities can't be trusted, people are free to choose their own truth" stuck with me. Long read but worth the time.
- New mind-controlled robot arm works without brain implants.
- In the past 20-years world poverty has been cut in half (thanks to capitalism) but 95% of Americans are unaware of this fact.
- Yesterday was the 15th anniversary of the A-Rod-Varitek fight. Something that is very dear to the hearts of so many Red Sox fans.

- Perhaps the best (and most humorous) argument I've seen in favor of nuclear energy. 19 minutes long and in Dutch (with subtitles) but well worth the time (even if just for the laughs).

- Naval's Laws (great life advice)
- Interesting - in 1981 44.3% of the world lived in extreme poverty and last year that number dropped to just 9.65%. We live in an era of abundance.
- It is a small step from having these robots dogs do jobs on construction site to having a billionaire training them to hunt the "most dangerous game" for his enjoyment. Just saying.
- How to exercise when it's the last thing you want to do
- Trying to follow the players and the interests in Syria is so hard.
