Jimmy Kimmel was clearly in the wrong with his tasteless joke about Melania Trump and this may be the last straw for many for many ABC stations. They may soon realize that their station could probably make more money by replacing Kimmel's show with re-runs of Sponge Bob or something - get higher ratings and be able to keep all the advertising revenue.

"A learning experience is one of those things that say, 'You know that thing you just did? Don't do that." - Douglas Adams
I think living a good life can be boiled down to three simple rules.
1. First simply try to live life by the Golden Rule - treat others as you'd want them to treat you.
2. Try to make good decisions in life. For the most part you know instinctively a good choice from a bad choice. Try to make good choices.
3. You will make some bad choices - it's unavoidable. However when you do - treat your bad choice as a learning experience and take the words of Douglas Adams to heart and try not to make the same mistake twice.
Rinse, lather, repeat. A good life doesn't need to be complicated.

Ronald Reagan's favorables were polling pretty poorly until he was shot by John Hinkley and Reagan's grace and humor made the public love him. Wonder if President Trump's reaction to the WHCD shooter may do the same for Trump? By not blaming the press he is making them take any swipes at him seem petty and small. Just saying.

The big news of the day was of an active shooter at the White House Correspondents Dinner and the Red Sox firing coach Alex Cora. In my opinion the WHCD "nerd prom" should be cancelled completely - it has long outlived its usefulness - and Boston owner John Henry should sell the team. Don't think I'm alone in holding these opinions.

The Patriots moved up from the 31st pick in the NFL draft to the 28th to pick OT Caleb Lomu of Utah who was rated as the last of the first round caliber tackles in the draft before the prospects drop off quite a bit. As Jordan Peterson put it, "there was something amiss, for better or worse, with our first parents." Or more plainly - our first parents were pretty messed up the more you learn about them.
"God placed Adam in there, along with all sorts of fruit-bearing trees, two of which were marked out. One of these was the Tree of Life; the other, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. God then told Adam to have his fill of fruit, as he wished, but added that the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was forbidden. After that, He created Eve as a partner for Adam." - Jordan Peterson
So according to this story before woman came along Adam was not just the first man but the also the first vegan - eating just fruit. And that once Eve convinced him to eat the fruit of Knowledge Adam became aware of not just carnal knowledge but became a carnivore - eating meat. Learning in the process that there was good and evil in the tastes for both.
Messed up.

Don't be surprised if VP JD Vance takes a hard line with the Iranians in the peace negotiations in Pakistan. Politically allowing Vance to appear serious is wise politically and the mullahs real don't have any cards to play. In reality they're fighting for either minor concessions or death from above. There are many questions that occur to me and to others when looking at the "real" world. It is said that science can identify only 5% of the matter that makes up the universe.
