While you watch your college football games today remember the NFL front offices and the fans of both the Steelers and Saints are hoping Paris doesn't get burned to the ground and their game tomorrow morning comes off without a hitch. All for a buck. Can almost picture Roger Goodell saying, "Are you not entertained?"

To get this out of the way - yes I did watch the Bears beat the Pats 30-24. I held out hope until about 1:30 left in the game when Chicago went up by 9 points. One team had to lose and last night was New England's turn.

The Patriots play the Bears tonight on Thursday Night Football. Make sure you get your fantasy football lineups in - it would be a shame to leave either Drake Maye or Caleb Williams on the bench. Oh and make sure you have plenty of beer for the game (note to self).

Today is Wednesday - Woodin's day (aka Odin). This always makes me think of the bumper sticker "Odin promised he would get rid of the Ice Giants. Well where are the Ice Giants now? Vote Odin." Hard to argue with that logic.

Today's offering seems mainly NFL related and I did not even mention last night's 23-17 win by San Fran over Washington. Was this head coach Dan Quinn's last game with the Commanders before getting fired for Jayden Daniels' brain farts? Curious minds want to know.

With Paris and France on fire, rampant looting and general chaos going on - would you be surprised if the State Department issued a travel advisory telling Americans not to travel to France? In a way it would also be amusing to see France try to invoke NATO Article 5: "Help us from our immigration problem and send us your NFL teams."

Yesterday truly was a historic day in college football with 5 top 7 teams losing causing chaos. Meanwhile today is an NFL day with the London game starting at 9:30. It's too cold out to do yardwork anyway.

So Jack Smith's Operation Artic Frost spied on Congress, Senate Candidate James Talarico checks himself into a mental hospital and lies about it, Ilhan Omar's apartment is raided by law enforcement, and back to Jack Smith harvesting the names and information of 639,000 Republican donors. Democratic scandals are a flat circle.

The Democrats saying "We are the Resistance" makes sense if you remember they seem intent on being on the wrong side of every 80/20 issue with the potential charges against Ilhan Omar and her family being the latest issue.

Some are condemning President Trump for making that diesel deal with Putin and Russia. But the fact is the price of gas is coming down. Last week I saw $4.35 while after the deal I saw $4.15 advertised at the pump. That's what the average American will remember. The war in Ukraine should have been over by now and many have fatigue on the issue.

Not surprised Ilhan Omar's apartment was searched by the FBI but I am curious what charges they got the warrant under. Was it the fraud involved in her going from penniless Somalian immigrant to multi-millionaire overnight, her "marrying" her bother, or some other crime? Curious people want to know.

Indian Summer was first termed in New England for the nice weather after the summer harvest was brought in when the Indians would often send out war parties to massacre the settlers. Now some want to place Indigenous People's Day smack dab when that might have happened. It's not far akin from some wanting to designate October 7th as Gaza Recognition Day.

New England takes on Las Vegas today at Foxboro. The Pats will be without 4 CB's from the roster. This could make for a big passing day for Kirk Cousins and the Raiders. The Patriots will also honor the 25th anniversary of the team winning the 2001 Super Bowl before the game.

Reminder but Joe Biden and the media tried to tell everyone America was not in a depression even though all the conditions of a depression were clearly being met. Now the Democrats and the media are trying to say the economy is not doing well despite all the proof that it is. That's why the price of gas is so important - it's the only thing Democrats can point at and say "See!"

Love that Starlink is getting a step closer to offering cell service but isn't this eerily close to the script of Dr. Who's rise of the Cybermen but instead of airships there's low earth orbiting satellites? If Elon Musk starts offering free ear pods I'd really be worried.

Feel bad that I don't go into more depth about current events and news while paying attention to sports. Then I see that the impending landfall of Hurricane Isaias on the Gulf Coast focuses not on the damage that may be done but how this could effect the big Alabama-Georgia game on Saturday. Not sure if this make me feel justified or ashamed to have the same questions.
