Nuclear power results in proliferation of waste dumps that nobody can or resolve to fix into what was before. Only the feds can waste taxpayer cash throwing it at waste dumps that rarely mitigated. Adding that to the cost of nuclear power makes it more expensive than most. It is no accident (heh) that zero insurance companies will offer policies for nuke plants.
