Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- A Chinese national working as a CBP supervisor was caught tampering with the computer network. Put him into Guantanamo! Fire anyone who had a hand in hiring him.

- Jordan Peterson on Charlie Kirk.

- What's really important of Apple's new technology. The dawn of personal AI.

Starlink Direct to iPhone?

The Starlink Internet service needs some sort of receiver. Combined this news with the recent speculation of a SpaceX - Apple partnership makes you wonder if the next models of iPhones will have that receiver built in and allow for native Internet, voice, and texting via Starlink. Take you phone anywhere and still get a signal. That would be a big selling feature. (Photo via)

EDIT: Elon Musk says this report is fake news. Too bad - a guy can dream of a better iPhone though.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- First it was the Trump Administration telling illegal immigrants to deport themselves - now is Wall Street telling Google to break itself up?

- Leo XIV named first American Pope.

- Interesting - the trues size of countries.

- Albertexit? I've been talking about this for a while. Remember Alberta doesn't have to be the 51st state either. They could be a stand alone nation on the population scale of about Finland's.

21 things I wish I knew in my twenties. He's not wrong either.

More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- The Daily Coach on Bullets vs Cannonballs

- Slate (of all places) looks at book banning and seemingly comes out in favor in this case. Normally anti-book banning out of principle but people who want to talk to kids about sex bring out a violent reaction (which book banners never seem to do)

- On a related note.

- Get some exercise! Move!

- Morgan Housel on Vicious Traps. Good article but he's 100% wrong about Elon Musk and Twitter.

Apple’s “No-Prick” Blood-Glucose Monitoring

Apple makes major progress on its no-prick blood glucose monitoring for it's watch.  This could be huge. With 1 in 10 Americans diabetic when this comes out the iWatch will become a ubiquitous accessory even for those who normally don't wear watches.

AirPods as Hearing Aids?

A new study states that AirPods Pro may have the potential to be a hearing assistive device for adults with mid-to-moderate hearing loss

AirPods may be considered expensive by some when it comes to headsets but when it comes to the costs of hearing aids - they are a big bargain.

Is there less social stigma in wearing AirPods vs wearing a hearing aid? Probably so.
