Interesting article on Celtics' rookie Jayson Tatum and how he may epitomize the changing NBA.
In the past you had a line-up made of a point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and center. These days the line-ups are morphing to a point guard, three wings and a big man. The "wings" and big man for that matter have to be able to guard and play multiple positions. The two words that are coming to define the modern NBA are "versatility" and "flexibility".
One small thing that really shocked me from the article was the revelation (to me at least) that number one overall draft pick Markelle Fultz has yet to attempt an NBA three-pointer. I know it's just a 4-game sample size and that Fultz is hurt but man is that a red flag. The Celtics really made the right choice in Tatum.
In Danny Ainge we trust.
