Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
One of my favorite history nuggets is the fact that Alexander Hamilton's son was also named Alexander Hamilton and he represented Aaron Burr's wife in her divorce suit. Aaron Burr died the day the divorce was made official... You may be cool but you'll never be as cool as Rogie Vachon in the 70's cool... Brain Grenade would be a good name for a band (or new strain of marijuana)... Another history nugget that sticks in my noggin... Truly believe that we have created a major mess when it comes to overly generous Unemployment Insurance benefits. As this post illustrates it is probably worst for restaurants. People have no incentive to return to work until their "bennies" run out. The people who worked during the pandemic deserve to be paid more than the people who sat at home on their couches when this all ends but you can't keep up the unrealistic wages and still expect restaurants to remain open. Guessing we'll see restaurants going out of business and smaller portions as the immediate short term results of this disastrous policy...
