Surprised nobody has done a cover of this song. I could see it being an instant hit for someone like Adele.

    So did Olivia Newton-John but her version is horrible to my ears so I'm not linking it.

    The Simply Red cover was Ok but I could have done without the Boy in the Bubble stuff.

    Is it bad that based upon the lyrics I kept thinking this would have been a great song for Karen Carpenter? (I'm an awful person)
