Years of shoddy research have overstated the risk.
The only risk it seems, according to the article, is that too much red meat may push out calories from fresh vegetables. Mankind is supposed to be omnivores and eat both meat and vegetables - but not processed food.
Problem is people like Bill Gates can't make money from non-processed foods. So we get more shoddy research or claims that cows are causing global warming.
For the most part, vegetables don't contain calories in any significant amount. Vitamins and minerals, yes. Calories, not so much. Unless they're lumping in legumes as "fresh vegetables", which they generally aren't.
ReplyDeleteCalories are a poor unit of measure anyway. It would be better to say "space in your belly" instead.
