I had high hopes for this reading -- he has the book in front of him!! He still gets it wrong! He missed the point about "the unforgiving minute" that equals 60 seconds, not Forty. He also misreads "nor talk too wise" as "nor look too wise". Ah well, maybe there will be another chance, as he is a bit older in this one than the previous, let's hope.
I caught the 40 vs 60 second difference too but willing to overlook any imperfections since if you watch he looked up at the camera a number of times and was reading some sections from memory (which was off). But glad it's one of his favorite poems - mine too and Kipling one of my favorite writers. Kim is one of my favorites and a great summertime read.
Was going to say that Michael Caine is one of my favorite actors but that clip was Harvey Keitel who I hope in equally high regard (though it has to be said that Keitel was sponsored by a bank while Caine seems to have learned the poem from his dad).
Have to mention that Kipling lived his later years in NH.
