Tom Brady and the Pope

One other thing about Peter King's MMQB - he mentions that Terrell Owens feels dissed and is offended that some people view him as selfish. Owens says that if someone like Brett Favre came back from injury like TO did then the sportswriters would be calling Favre a "warrior."

Favre wouldn't be blowing his own horn for one thing and he definitely wouldn't be saying things like "God is his personal physician" and that "God is on the Eagles side". Things like that are off-putting and quite honestly winners don't need to say things like that.

Take Tom Brady for instance. He easily could have said that the Pope personally picked the Patriots to win and all Catholics know the Pope is infallible. Brady even has the picture with the Pope to back himself up. Of course Brady would never say anything like that (too much class).
