Bill Walton seems to have been a great fellow by all accounts, but ask any Illinois basketball fan what they think of him.
Liked Walton but now I have to look up this Illinois story. Thanks!
He was working the regional final in 2001 when his son Luke's Arizona team was playing the Illini under Bill Self. He spent the entire game trashing Illinois, calling them thugs and bullies.
Now I remember. But even at the time I couldn't blame a dad for supporting his son.
