Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Glenn Reynolds: Life today under Late Democracy. He's not wrong.

-  Kevin Kelly: A proposal for universal national service. How is this different than a draft? Against the draft and compulsorily service.

- Anthropic bought Mithril, a one-man biotech startup built by an anonymous X user. I would so watch a doc on Professor Oak.

- Europe's share of tech R&D isn't collapsing - it has collapsed.

  1. It's interesting that some people can just never let go of the idea of forcing boys and girls into involuntary servitude and sending them off to die in foreign lands or in wildfires or in some ghetto. Oddly enough, it's never the ones that get drafted that want to go, it's the people who will not be and never were drafted.
