Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Tonga eruption blasted unprecedented amount of water into atmosphere. "The sheer amount of water injected into the stratosphere was likely only possible because the underwater volcano's caldera."

- Northwestern expected to add Chip Holtz to staff on a temporary basis. Calling Skip Holtz a veteran coach makes me feel old.

- Evidence of Biden Burisma corruption is overwhelming. File under - no kidding.

- This may interest only me but Notre Dame just signed huge deal to remain with Under Armour.

Advice from Kevin Plank

"I have a saying: 'I was always smart enough to be naive enough to not know what I couldn't accomplish.'"

"People ask me all the time 'What do I need to do to grown my business from doing one million dollars to 10 million dollars?' The answer is you have to put your head down and find a way."

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

"It was a damp squib of a fart" is the "It was a dark and stormy night" of intestinal distress stories... To be honest - the only Secretary of Labor I can name off the top of my head is completely fictional... If I were Under Armour now would be a good time to announce that they've signed Buzz Aldrin to a shoe deal... How the Cubs informed Bob Newhart's philosophy on life... So if the Left supports Nike's Kaepernick ad campaign and the Right boycotts Nike - who is the real loser here? Yep - Birkenstock! Too bad they're a private company otherwise you could short their stock... It has now been 4-years years since Kim Kardashian "broke the Internet" but this still makes me laugh every time... Happy 89th birthday to comedy legend Bob Newhart! Here's to many, many more...

Morning Links

Some interesting stuff to peruse over your morning coffee.

- The story of Under Armour. I love stories like this. From the grandmother's house to $700 million in sales. Incredible.

- What's that "V" on Tiger's hat? I was wondering about that.

- Phrase of the day - sang froid. You never hear that phrase anymore. Angel Cabrera exhibited sang froid in yesterday's playoff. Kenny Perry? Not so much.

- I agree with Lyford 100% on this.
