College Football Thought

Some offseason college football thoughts and observations with the possible expansion of the playoff field and the proposed 5 for 5 eligibility getting the lion's share of the attention.

Was having these thoughts anyway and figured I may as well jot them down and share on Substack. I miss Mike Leach.

Thursday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

Tonight is the first night of the NFL Draft and I hope your favorite team makes great picks. I won't be watching (I may check online to see who picked who). Though I remain staunchly against pre-draft mocks I still find myself listening to Todd McShay's podcast. That may be hypocritical but I find him entertaining and his pod is good to fall asleep to while I nap during the day.

Wednesday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

The Celtics lost to the 76ers and the Bruins beat Buffalo. Both series are now tied at 1-1. I enjoy drama but not in my playoff series. Can't shake the feeling the leagues are using officials to manufacture results. Maybe that's just me.

Jordan Peterson on Resentment

"But resentment always means one of two things. Either the resentful person is immature, in which case he or she should shut up, quit whining, and get on with it, or there is tyranny afoot - in which case the person subjugated has a moral obligation to speak up. Why? Because the consequence of remaining silent is worse." - Jordan Peterson 12 Rules for Life

This is true! If you don't act and speak up this may haunt you for the rest of your life.

Tuesday Flotsam and Jetsam

Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.

Warren Buffett says if the top 800 firms all paid the same in taxes as Berkshire-Hathaway did that income taxes could be removed. But isn't that what President Trump is trying to do with reciprocal tariffs? Guess Warren Buffett is a big Trump supporter - right?
