Johnny Damon's Return

Tonight Johnny Damon returns to Fenway Park for his first game in Yankee pinstripes. I think Damon gets pretty much a standing "O" (with just a smattering of boos) for his first at-bat from the Fenway faithful.

Sox fans appreciate how Damon always played hard and played hurt. We may not have always appreciated how he sometimes said idiotic things but his years in Boston will be looked back upon as the best years of his career. We appreciate that.

Don't get me wrong - Red Sox Nation was not real happy to see him sign with the Yankees but any hard feelings over that evaporated once Coco Crisp was acquired. Most Red Sox fans feel that we have the better, younger player in Crisp and that would not have been possible unless Damon signed elesewhere (even if it was with New York).

Good luck Johnny (just not against Red Sox pitching).
