Have a new miscellaneous thoughts and observations post up on Substack.
So this week marked the two year anniversary of me suffering a stroke that required me to be hospitalized for 3 weeks. I feel mostly recovered though my balance and speech are a little off. I do take it as a step forward that I didn't even remember the anniversary but was reminded of it but something else. Life is precious - don't take it for granted!

ReplyDeleteI too have had life-threatening health challenges (at age 14 and again at 35) which would have killed me without top-shelf med care. No fun, but insight can follow. I useta think I was very lucky but now know I’ve been blessed.
Be well, Chris Lynch

Thanks! Glad you are doing better. I don't feel blessed but do feel wiser.
ReplyDeleteRan into a guy I know who lost his brother last year and his brother was a year younger than me. Didn't ask what from because last time I saw his brother he looked pretty rough. So I understand how lucky I've been. Look on the bright side whenever you can.
