  1. Well, as Thomas Sowell points out there are no ideal solutions, only trade-offs. In this case if we go to year-round DST it means that, sooner or later, some kids will be killed or injured walking to school in the dark. Of course that's a small price to pay for avoiding the terrible inconvenience of spending 10 minutes every six months to change our clocks.

    1. The US also joins all the other nations of the earth in not having daylight savings which studies have shown cost hundreds of lives from heart attacks from people having their normal sleep cycles interrupted
